Another team, another win for Varsity at least! I could get used to this..... :). What a great night we had at Milton Academy. First time in Winsor's history that we have beaten this strong ISL team. And we did that without our full line-up. This is simply incredible and I'm totally speechless, so I just write the scores down. Varsity scores are in bold:

Winsor Varsity beat Milton Varsity: 5 - 2
Winsor JV lost to Milton JV: 2 - 9
  1. Sarah won 3-0
  2. Adrienne won 3-0
  3. Junnat won 3-0
  4. Tasha won 3-1
  5. Eve lost 2-3
  6. Alexa won 3-0
  7. Michelle lost 0-3
  8. Qirrat won 3-0
  9.  Lilla lost 0-3
  10. Maddie lost 0-3
  11. Alexa won 3-0
  12. Alex lost 0-3
  13. Ellie lost 0-3
  14. Emily lost 0-3
  15. Caroline G. lost 0-3
  16. India lost 0-3
  17. Casey lost 0-2
  18. Caroline M. lost 0-2
Milton had an incredibly strong JV team although with our full line-up (with Ananya and Olivia), I think the scores would have been a bit closer. Anyway, the JV girls tried hard, but the strength difference was very visible. It was good to have a taste of a much stronger team, because that will push us even more in the future.

Our Varsity dominated the top 4 matches in the line-up. Eve and Michelle had a tough opponent and some crazy long rallies. Eve did an amazing job to stay neck and neck with the Milton girl all the way until the very end of the 5th game. Unfortunately, she lost a really tight one in the end and the difference was only 2 points between them. Even though she lost the match, I saw fire and determination in her eyes throughout the match.

I was really impressed by the win of Alexa Jacobs on the 6th position. She got a very talented opponent who seemed to be really fit and fast. But AJ didn't give up on balls, kept up with the speed of the other girl and at the end she always had a finishing shot, so she was able to finish the match in 3 games. It was not an easy win, but the determination of AJ was very cool to watch. Great job there!

Well, so far the girls did an amazing job on the court, let's hope for the same results in the class room this week. You go Winsor Squash Team!
