Winsor Squash

Despite missing the top 6 players and a few of key JV players, the team traveled to Concord. With a pep talk from Szilvi on the bus, the girls showed up with fire in their eyes. They all knew that each of them were playing at least 6 spots up, if not more. Led by Captains of the Day AJ and Lilla, the Winsor Wildcats were able to defeat Concord 8-3.

The girls really stepped up to the plate and both Szilvi and I are so proud of them. There were some competitive matches that went in 4 or 5 games. The match of the night came from CeCe Green. She was down 0-2 in games. After some good advice and strong endurance, she battled back and won the match 3-2. As well, India played a tough match. In the middle of the match, her opponent fell and hurt her ankle. We all hate to see an opponent get hurt and as tough as it is to play hurt, it is also tough to play someone who you know is injured. Although she felt for her opponent, India did not let up! She won her match 3-2! Well done ladies!
