Winsor School was represented by 5 of our players last weekend at the Massachusetts State Gold tournament. It is always great to see players competing outside of Winsor and putting up with big fights against other players from around the country.
Qirrat played in the U15 draw where she had a close match with the #1 seed, but eventually she lost that match in 5 games. She finished the tournament at 3rd place in Consolation! Good job!
Eve started the tournament in the U17 draw, but unfortunately had to withdraw due to flu. Next time, Eve!
Tasha played a lot of matches in the U17 draw. She lost the first two matches, but continued with 3 more wins. She won the Plate 2. Great play!
Junnat has also entered the U17 draw and didn't stop until the very end. She took the 3rd place in a big fight that she won in 5 games. Well done!
Adrienne had some tough opponents in the U19 draw, but she only dropped one match. She ended the tournament by winning the Consolation draw in 5 games. Awesome work!
So proud of you girls, keep up the hard work. Hip-hip-hurray for Winsor!
